Julie Strickland: The Design Spacesuit Engineer

Aerospace engineer and spacesuit engineer Julie Strickland will lead participants through an innovation visual exercise inspired by a real-world challenge facing astronauts.

This creative exercise is only one of the innovation processes described in her book, Strawberry Innovation: The Practical Guide for Innovators Navigating a Corporate Landscape.

As Research and Development Project Manager, Julie assists her teams with focus and organization. Schedules, budgets, and risk registers are some of the things that I manage so that the team can concentrate on their work.

As a Spacesuit Engineer for four years, designing the next-generation spacesuit, her background enables her to understand the technical scope and challenges of the team while assisting them in developing solutions and/or mitigations.

With multiple patents awarded and more pending, she is also an inventor and coach.
