IAF Conference

Next week I am heading to the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) in Balitmore, Maryland. I have attended this conference for many years. Every year I am exposed to many great new ideas for facilitation. This year I am excited to say that we are going to be a sponsor of the IAF.

Alphachimp Studio will be there to showcase our graphic facilitation, facilitation coaching and the new "Missing Link" software designed to help facilitators capture the missing link between ideas and implementation at their events.

This software is amazing. We have been working on this idea for many years. How do you capture all the ideas that happen at events? How do you find that one image that was drawn on a flip chart that started the major break through? That is what we hope our new software will do for anyone facilitating a meeting, conference or design session.

Okay, now to my love. Coaching. What is facilitation coaching? Facilitation coaching is a new offering from Alphachimp Studio. Many facilitators work on their own. They do not have someone to bounce ideas off of or to help them research new ideas and trends. As a facilitation coach, I work with facilitators who are just starting up their business to facilitators who have been in this industry for years. Facilitation coaching is a relationship where the focus is on the facilitator and helping them to design and execute their facilitation style, story and strategy for success!!

Am I doing what I want to be doing?

Am I living my dream?

Who do I want to be when I grow up?

Are you following your dream? Has your dream changed? What can you do today to live a more fulfilled life?

Wanna Be a Player? Get a Coach!

Originally published 10 years ago, this article in Fast Company articulates why professionals seek coaching--because they are playing to win!
World-class athletes know it. So do opera divas. Winners in nearly every profession know that without the right coach, they won't perform at their peak. And now a select number of businesspeople know it, too: as organizations flatten, as production cycles hit hyperspeed, as change becomes a constant, coaches can help you become a better, more nimble business leader.
