The Society for Organizational Learning is an action learning community whose purpose is to discover, integrate, and implement theories and practices of organizational learning for the interdependent development of people and their institutions. In this context, the Seventh Annual Meeting of SoL will bring together a community of about 300 deeply committed practitioners, consultants, researchers, and others from around the world to achieve together that which we cannot achieve on our own: increasing our capacity to collectively realize our highest aspirations.

Peter Senge addresses SoL members in a wonderful open space conversation on Thompson Island in Boston Harbor. |
"Leading in Action" offered an engaging and reflective meeting environment in which new knowledge can emerge and be applied to generate fundamental institutional and societal innovation. We explored how we can lead consciously in the midst of everyday action to stay true to ourselves and create the results we really care about.
The objectives of the Seventh Annual Meeting of SoL has been influenced by the SoL purpose and many conversations within and outside the SoL community. Individually and collectively we aspire to:
- Discover the value and potential of our interconnectedness
- Integrate new theories and tools into our organizational and social realities
- Implement meaningful action for results that matter.
In the design process for this meeting, structures and processes have emerged from the SoL community that will allow for community connection, applied learning, and deep questions.
