Alphachimp Studio Inc. is a visual learning company that supports business innovation, strategic planning, and collaborative design.

Since 1998, we have worked to bring visual learning out of the cave and into everyday life. After more than 10 years in business, our motto remains the same:

Make stuff. Make stuff happen!

Collaboration with individuals and organizations—of all sizes and across all sectors—is at the heart of our work; our mission is to explore innovative learning tools to solve complex problems.

As a network of facilitators and graphic recorders, we share a passion for doodling, drawing, discovering, exploring, playing, imagining, and creating with others.

For all of us, creativity and innovative thinking are as vital as the air we breathe. Because of this, we hope to build a world in which all people are allowed to bring their whole self to work.

Studio Team (Nashville)

Alicia Diane Durand | Managing Director
With 20 years of experience leading teams on theatrical productions and collaborative design events, Diane is a master at putting together all the moving parts.
While learning how to grow her business, she has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of people working hard to define their mission, vision, and strategy.

Peter Durand | Creative Director
As a painter, illustrator, designer and facilitator, Peter can draw better than he can talk (or dance). Fortunately, he uses visual learning in collaborative strategy and design situations to accelerate change. Since 2004, he has served as the House Artist at PopTech and creates a number of on-site paintings live during the annual conference.

Patricia Fonner | Project Manager
Heading up our video, animation and print projects, Patricia has 15 years of experience in managing complex print and advertising projects. She likes to find the talented people, smoosh them together, and watch something wonderful emerge. She is a fun mom to a budding young rockstar.

Perrin Ireland | Scientific Storyteller
A science communicator and Brown University biology graduate, Perrin has contributed graphic explications of science to The College Hill Independent, Wag's Revue, Creaturecast.org, and Scientific American. Her professional and personal work seeks to bridge the gaps between science and art, using visual tools to communicate scientific concepts to general audiences.
